ureMaymie Stewart Thompson McClure, 79, of Red Bank succumbed to cancer on Thursday, July 29, 2010.She was preceded in death by five siblings and three husbands.Survivors include her husband, J.R. McClure; daughter, Dianne (Tom) Duman; step-children, Joyceline Moore, Richard Thompson; grandson, Micky Moates; brother, Lem (Jo Anne) Stewart, of Fort Oglethorpe; sisters, Arvis Morris, Ruby Sanford, Gail Stinson, all of Alabama; brother-in-law, Ben Yates, very special sister-in-law, Norma Thompson, and several nieces and nephews.She was a pianist with several Gospel groups for 64 years, the last being with Born Again and Golden Years Quartet.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at the North Chapel with Pastor Eric Johnson officiating.Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, July 31, 2010 and on Sunday from noon until the time of the service at the North Chapel.Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to The First Church of The Nazarene, 5455 North Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37411, or to your church or dread disease fund.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.mem.com.Arrangements are made by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
