Winnie Watkins

ROSSVILLE Winnie Ailene Watkins, 82, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, in a local hospital. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a graduate of the Bellwood High School Calhoun, Ga. Mrs Watkins was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of the State of Georgia, Sequoyah Chapter # 286. She was an avid Braves Fan and loved watching all sports. Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mattie Love Thomas Richardson; step-mother, Beatrice Richardson; granddaughter, Lana Beth Webster; brothers, Thomas Richardson, Bo Richardson, Henry Richardson, Charlie Richardson and James Richardson. Survivors include husband, Bob Watkins; sons, Robert (Susan ) Watkins, East Ridge, Ronald Watkins, Rossville; daughters, Susan Watkins, Temple, Ga., Cindy ( Jim) Webster, Chattanooga; sisters, Sybil Swafford, Flint, Mich., Ruby Richardson, Calhoun, Ga., Susie Gray and Frances Ball, Calhoun, Ga., Anne Moore and Margaret Cartwright; grandchildren, Heather Watkins, Trey Watkins, Rachel Watkins, Kasey Dabbs, Hannah Lautzenhizer, Alan Webster and Cole Webster.Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment in the Tennessee- Georgia Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Alan Webster, Cole Webster, Trey Watkins, Jimmy Gray, Keith Richardson and Frank Johnson. The family will receive friends from 2-6 today and 1-3 Monday at the Heritage Funeral; Home and Crematory, Battlefield, Parkway.
