James Wortman

James Frederick "Jimmy" Wortman, 59, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2010. He had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of his life and was a member of Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Jimmy enjoyed volunteering with the Epilepsy Foundation when he was younger and will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Wortman and grandparents, James E. and Pearl Lane.Survivors include his mother, Rosalie Lane Wortman, of Rossville, Ga.; brothers, Richard Wortman, of Rossville, Ga., Steve, Michael and Gerald Wortman, all of Chattanooga; sister, Angela Wortman, of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, in the Fort Ogelthorpe Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The family would like to give special appreciation to Bobbie Jean and Candy Britton. Arrangements by W. L.
