John Madaris

ROSSVILLE John Anderson Madaris, 98, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010.He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church. He retired from Ross Meehan Foundry and was a member of the Crawfish Springs Masonic Lodge #300 F&AM. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who never met a stranger and will be sadly missed by all that knew him.He was preceded in death by his wife, Golda Maye Madaris.Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, J.B. and (Evelyn) Madaris, of Rossville; three grandchildren, Dorayn Madaris, Daphney Scoggins and Denis LaNeve; three great-grandchildren, Holly Scoggins, Nicholes Scoggins and Dylan Madaris and numerous friends.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Nick Forshee officiating.Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.The family will begin receiving friends after 2 p.m. today and prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.Arrangements by W.L.
