Ina Ellis

Ina Cheneta Ellis, 59, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, in a local hospital.She was formerly employed as an RN at Erlanger Hospital. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harry Ellis Sr.; grandmother, Dorothy Ellis-Rucker; and father, James C. Ellis Sr.Survivors include one daughter, Shuntele Smith-Fairbanks; grandson, Julian Fairbanks; mother, Bennie Catherine Ellis, all of Chattanooga; brothers, James C. "Van" (Brenda) Ellis II, of Memphis, Victor "Bubby" Ellis Sr., of Jackson, Miss., Micheal Ellis Sr. of Phoenix, Ariz., David Ellis and Julius Ellis, both of Richmond, Va.; sisters, Janice (Larry "Bear") High, Linda Ellis and Iris Ferguson, all of Chattanooga; aunts, Ina Jones, of Richmond, Va., and Marie Pringle of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends.A memorial service will be at noon Saturday in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Larry High officiating.
