Gladys Hudson

SOUTH PITTSBURG Gladys Pace Hudson, 97, died in a Chattanooga hospital Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011.Daughter of the late Wiley Richard and Lou Cinda Rogers Pace, Mrs. Hudson was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, and worked at the Pittsburg Knitting Mill for many years. Widow of William L. Hudson, she worked by his side at his ACME TV and Radio repair shop. She was a member of First Baptist Church in South Pittsburg for about 70 years. Mrs. Hudson was also preceded in death by her sister, Alice Mae Pace; and brother, Roy Pace.She is survived by her son, William Louis (Candice) Hudson Jr., of Ooltewah; three grandsons, William L. Hudson III, of Chickamauga, Ga., Jonathon Ryan Hudson, of Fort Oglethorpe, and Brandon Trent Hudson, of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Anniston Hudson and Corbin Hudson; and several cousins.A graveside memorial service will be conducted from Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tenn., at 11:30 a.m. CST on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, officiated by Brother Brad Bridgman.Condolences may be sent by visiting www.rogersfuneralhome.com.The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
