Dorothy Williams Thomas 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at a local hospital.She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and was a dear mother.She was preceded in death by her mother, Reasie Williams; sister, Barbara Cherry; and several brothers and ex-husband, Roger Thomas Sr.She is survived by her children, Cheryle Thomas, Roger (Sandra) Thomas Jr., DeWayne Thomas, Sophia (Jeffrey) Robinson, Angela "Big Momma" Thomas; siblings, Eula Mae Chenault, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Annie Russell, Lois Scott, Linda Bonner; and dear friend, Jimmy Howard; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and sister-in-laws.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Westside Baptist Church with Pastor Timothy Careathers officiating.Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral Home.Franklin Strickland Funeral Directors, 1724 McCallie Ave., 423-265-4414 has been entrusted and honored to serve Thomas family.
