Katherine "Kitty" Kendrick, 100, of Chattanooga went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011.Mrs. Kendrick was retired from AT&T and was a member of East Lake Methodist Church. She was the sweetest person to walk the earth.She was preceded in death by her husband, Doc Virgil Kendrick; sisters, Virginia Reynolds, Love McGill; nephew, Jim Helton; and niece, Jeanne Nichols.She is survived by a daughter, Nina (Frank) Smith; son, Derwood (Georgia) Kendrick; grandchildren, Scott, Dirk and Tim Kendrick, Chip Smith; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Kathy Winters, Charles Harris, Jane Pruitt and June Wyneken.Please visit www.heritagefh.com to view the memorial tribute and share words of comfort with the family.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Mike Feely officiating.Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday and from noon until time of service on Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga.
