FLAT ROCK Jerry Raymond Wells, 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at his residence.Mr. Wells was a lifelong resident of Flat Rock and member of Kennemer Baptist Church, NSM Masonic Lodge 920, NSM Eastern Star 544, Scottish Rite 32 Degree, Chattanooga. He had worked 21 years for Crane Co. and at Dogwood Golf Estates for 30 years.Survivors include, loving wife of 54 years, Nellie Gertrude Wells; son, Jerry Wells; daughter, Tammie Wells, all of Flat Rock; brother, Joseph Carl (Elizabeth) Wells, Corpus Christi, Texas; sister, Phyllis Jean Brown, Valley Head; sisters-in-law, Wilma Scott, Ringgold, Ga., Virginia Wells, Athens, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Brother Wayne Smith and Brother Greg Steele officiating.Burial will follow in Kennemer Cemetery with Masonic rites.Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST today.
