Claude Lewis

CHICKAMAUGA Claude "Fimp" Franklin Lewis, 75, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at his residence.He was born in Decatur, Ala., to the late George Franklin Lewis and Vera Armstrong Lewis. He had resided in Chickamauga for over 40 years and was currently residing in Ringgold, Ga. He had worked for Tennessee Valley Authority as a brick mason for 12 years. He also started his own Masonry Company, which his son grew to be now known as Masonry Specialist Corporation. He was of the Church of Christ faith.Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles "Chuck" Catlett Jr., a sister and eight brothers.He is survived by his wife, Donna Westmoreland Lewis and their children, Michael "Chip" Catlett, of Chickamauga, Ga., Craig "Cotton" Catlett, of Ooltewah, Cla Lewis, of Chickamauga, Noel Lewis Pearce, of Kennesaw, Ga., Claudia Nichole Lewis, of Carterville, Ill.; sisters, Mildred Phillips, Joyce Ann Burns; brothers, T.W. Lewis and Sam Lewis, all of Decatur, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. this morning before the service.Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 6, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Jim Outen officiating.
