LaTresha Maria Smartt-Auls, 30, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011.She was a member of Greater New Home Church.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pressley and Ruth Mathis and Haskel and Annie M. Smartt; one brother, Calvin A. Smartt.Survivors include her husband, Alvin T. Auls; son, Zechariah M. Smartt; daughter, Alesha J. Auls; sister, Andrea Smartt; brothers, George Smartt Jr., of Vancouver BC, Pressely (Nakia) Mathis, Maurice "Boogie" Smartt, of Chattanooga; parents, George and Nettie Smartt; mother-in-law, Hettie M. Auls; sister-in-law, Shamari Auls; dear cousins, George Torrence, of Maryland, LaTera Pullom, of Chattanooga; devoted nephews, Dereke and Xavier Smartt and LaDarrius Mathis of Chattanooga; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special thanks to: The staff of COHA, Pastor Spotts and the Greater New Home Church Family and Hospice of Chattanooga.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Greater New Home Baptist Church with Elder G. M. Spotts officiating.Interment in Highland Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today with the family receiving friends from 7-8 p.m. this evening at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
