Thomas Cates

TRENTON Thomas Cates, 78, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011.He was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Air Force.He is survived by wife, Betty Wheeler Cates, Trenton, Ga.; two sons, Robert (Lori) Cates, Wildwood, Ga., Tommy (Melissa) Cates Jr., Chattanooga, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Zack, Zoe, Grayson Cates and Dylan Hollman; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday in the Ryan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Smith and Joe Reed officiating.The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, no visitation on Monday, and 9 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.Arrangements are by Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, Ga.
