MONTEAGLE Mr. Carl David Butner, 68, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at home.A son of the late Frank and Ruby Walker Butner, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Metcalfe Butner; brothers, James E., Douglas, Billy Frank, Samuel Lee and Donnie Butner; sisters, Aline Wilkinson, Doris Thomas Foshee and Lynda Bennett.Survivors: children, David Randall and his wife, Rhonda Butner, Monteagle, Evon (Raymond) Chastain, Chattanooga, Cynthia (Glenn) Chambers, Monteagle; sisters, Nellie Butner Bland, Monteagle, Connie Sargent, Manchester; six grandchildren, Marcus Gilliam, Brad Griswold, Amy Griswold, Jamison Butner, Hannah Butner; six great-grandchildren, Travis, Britney, McKynze, Emma, Peyton, Kynlee; several nieces and nephews.Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Marvin Brannan and the Rev. John Burge officiating.Burial: Summerfield Cemetery.Visitation: 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, 207 Mabee Avenue, Monteagle, Tenn.
