POWELLS CROSSROADS Hazel "Midge" Morrison, 74, passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 27, 2011.Midge was born Sept. 30, 1936, to the last Doyle and Dora Moore. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitwell. She worked as a Kindergarten Aide at Griffith Creek Elementary School and worked as a cafeteria worker at the Whitwell High School for 15 years and also worked at Raceway in Whitwell. She was preceded in death by her sister Mitzi Partin.She is survived by her husband, Jerry Morrison; two sons, Greg (Gail) Morrison, Powells Crossroads, and Roger (Debbie) Morrison, Harrison; two daughters, Karen (Ron) Rogers, Soddy-Daisy, and Sherri (Jeff) Thomas, Whitwell; grandchildren, Ryan, Shea and Zach Thomas, Chelsea, Caitlin and Ciera Rogers, Adam, Wyatt and Dalton Morrison; sister, Helen Brandt, Wisconsin; four brothers, John Moore, Harrison, Bud Moore, Red Bank, Keaven Moore, Wisconsin, and Jim Moore Whitwell; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. CST Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Whitwell, with the Rev. Cecil Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends today 5 to 9 p.m. CST and Tuesday 3-9 p.m. CST.Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
