Evert Fisher

RINGGOLD Evert Clifton Fisher, 95, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2011.He was born in Fannin County, Ga., to the late William Jasper Fisher and Zadie Shope Fisher.He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was a former Welder with Lewis Card Machine Shop and was of the Baptist faith.Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Fisher; brothers, William Howard Fisher, Burton Fisher, Bascom Fisher; nephews, Eugene Fisher and Randall Fisher.He is survived by his nephews, Ralph Fisher, of Ringgold, who was his caretaker, Doyle Fisher, of Ashland, Ala.; nieces, Betty Baggett, of Anniston, Ala., Ailene Watson, of Cleveland, Tenn., Jo Ann Bass, of Florida, several great-nieces, great-nephews, caring neighbors and friends.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 19, 2011, graveside in Anderson Cemetery, Ringgold, with Minister Jimmy Spurling officiating.Arrangements are by the Ringgold Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes, Ringgold.
