Imogene Kell

LaFAYETTE Imogene Lanier Kell, 82, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.She was born to the late Charles M. and Elizabeth Mitchell Lanier on Sept. 17, 1928. Mrs. Kell was of the Baptist faith, worked in the textile industry for many years, and she loved to cook. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Frank Kell; three sisters, Georgia Cook, Louise and Edna Tucker; three brothers, Roy, Wallace and James C. Kell.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Billy Drennon, of LaFayette; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Matthew and Brenda Kell, of Trion, Kenneth D. and Bonnie Kell, of LaFayette; sister, Ruby Richardson, of LaFayette; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Online guestbook available at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Homes, LaFayette.
