Nadine Rogers

Nadine D. Rogers, of Jefferson, Ga., passed away on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, after undergoing open heart surgery.Nadine was born in Macon, Ga., on March 29, 1926, and as a young girl moved to Chattanooga, where she attended school.Her business life was spent as a professional secretary with Combustion Engineering and U.S. Pipe and Foundry in Chattanooga. After moving to Atlanta, Ga., she worked for DeKalb County, and later retired.Nadine was preceded in death in June of 2005 by her devoted and much loved husband of 60 years, Bob Rogers.She is survived by her sons, David and his wife, Pat Rogers, of Alpharetta, Ga., and Mark J. Rogers, of Jefferson, Ga.; her grandson, Robert D. Rogers, of Atlanta; her granddaughter, Kelly Rogers Bell, and her husband, Alex, of Berkeley Lake, Ga. She also leaves her brother, J.W., and his wife, June Drennan, of Trion, Ga., and her brother-in-law, James T., and his wife, Jean Rogers, of Alpharetta, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, in the East Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Rev. Joseph M. McKechnie officiating.Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at the funeral home.Contributions in Nadines memory may be made to Arbor Pointe United Methodist Church in care of Rev.
