Jr.Herschel E. "Pete" Page Jr., 81, of Chattanooga, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011.He was born April 3, 1929, in Chattanooga the son of the late Herschel E. Sr. and Jacque Hannan Page and was also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Frances Page.He was a life long member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Mr. Page was a veteran of the Korean Conflict where he was a pilot and held the rank of Captain. He graduated from Notre Dame High School and the University of Chattanooga where he was a football star. Mr. Page was a member of the Key Club, the Newman Club, Kappa Sigma and he was voted most popular at the University of Chattanooga. Mr. Page and his wife loved to spend the winters at their home in Marco Island, Fla. Mr. Page worked as a manufacturers representative for Pulaski Furniture.Survivors include his children, Vic (Donna) Massari and Debbie (Bob) Red; grandchildren, Katie Massari, Sara Page Red (Danny) Barnwell and Becca Red; sister, Jody Johnson; niece, Sharon Seigal; nephews, Howard Johnson, John Johnson and Johnny Hennen.Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Father George Schmidt.Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.Pallbearers include Danny Barnwell, Lanny Haynes, John Johnson, Andy Nolan, Buddy Werner, Freddy Milligan, Nick Olsen, Ryan Lacks and Johnny Hennen.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Notre Dame High School, 2701 Vermont Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404, or to Dade County Animal Rescue c/o Jimmy Stewart, 143 Lake Loop Road, Cloudland, GA 30731.Please share your condolences at www.chattanoogaeastchapel.com.Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S.
