RINGGOLD Irene "Reenie" Crabtree Foster, 51, passed peacefully at home into the arms of her Savior on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, following a valiant and inspirational battle with ovarian cancer.She possessed a contagious love of life and taught others to embrace the daily treasures life has to offer. Irene presented an exuberant message of hope and encouragement to others fighting against cancer.She was born in Fort Oglethorpe to Geneva Cowart Crabtree and the late O.C. Crabtree. She was a member of Hope Fellowship Church in Rock Spring, Ga.Survivors include her husband, Kenny Foster; sons, Josh Gilliam, of Ringgold, and Lee (Sarah) Gilliam, of Chattanooga; sisters Kaye (Glenn) Vaughn and Faye (Wayne) Peters; brothers, Phil (Patsy) Crabtree, of Soddy-Daisy, and Brian (Mary) Crabtree, of Raymond, Miss.; grandson, Maddox Gilliam; many nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe with the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating.Interment will follow in Anderson Cemetery in Ringgold, Ga.Memorial contributions may be made to National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, P.O.
