James Monroe Chalmers, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, in Murfreesboro, Tenn., at the Alvin York V.A. Hospital.Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with pastors Robert Chancy, J.W. Cole and Reggie Cole officiating. The body will lie-in-state today, Jan. 23, from 3 until 5 p.m. at Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors at 1724 McCallie Ave. Prestige Funeral Service Inc. 423-697-1936 is honored to assist the family.
