Jessie Davis

Jessie Mae Davis, 79, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, in a local hospital. She was a member of St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church and was employed by the Frierson and Davenport families.She was preceded in death by her husband, Deforrest Davis Sr.; son, Deforrest Davis Jr.; and grandson, Darryl Davis.Survivors include three daughters, Jerry Davis, Carolyn (Cheato) Brown and Theresa Davis; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; other relatives; special friends, The Frierson and Davenport Family and many other friends.Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Billy Church officiating.Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home.
