Lillie Walker

DRESDEN Lillie Jane Jeter Walker, 98, passed away at 12:18 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, in Knoxville. Jane was born and reared in Fulton County, Ky. She was a graduate of Murray State Teachers College. Jane was the Librarian and taught Latin at Dresden High School for many years. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Dresden. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, John Roland Jeter, who was the father of her daughter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Aaron McKinney Walker; and parents, William Priestly McAdams and Ina Davidson McAdams. She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Jeter Britton, and husband, Bill, of Knoxville; grandchildren, John Jeter Britton, and wife, Karen Reagan Britton, of Knoxville, Julie Britton Burney, and husband, Tim, of Chattanooga; grandsons, Noah Burney, of Chicago, Ill., and Sean Burney, of Chattanooga. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a brief service to follow at 7 p.m. Family and friends will gather at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, for graveside services at Sunset Cemetery in Dresden.
