Martha Myers

Martha Marie Sisco Myers, 76, of Chattanooga, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Hospice of Chattanooga.Martha was born in Lincoln County, Tenn. and after accompanying her husband through his military career they moved to Chattanooga in 1973 upon his retirement from the Air Force. She worked for Central Soya until retiring 1991.She is a member of the Chattanooga Hiking Club and planned and lead hikes on Wednesdays for several years. She was a Red Cross Volunteer at Erlanger Hospital and was a charter member of The Auxiliary of Volunteer Chapter 103 of The Retired Enlisted Association.She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Walter and Rachel Sisco, of Fayetteville, Tenn., and, brother Frank Aaron Sisco, Richmond Hill, Ga.She is survived by her husband, Ray; two sons, Tim, Tyler Texas, and Ronald, Chattanooga; one brother, James Sisco, Palm Bay, Fla.; two sisters, Louise Kates, Owosso, Mich., and Jenny Barnett, Theodore, Ala.Services were Friday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with nephew Rev. Hugh Bryan officiating.Interment was in National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calhoun Untied Methodist Church, 820 Highway 163, Calhoun, TN 37309-5279.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family.The family received friends from 8-10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
