Reva Richey

INDIANAPOLIS Reva J. Richey, 57, passed away 10:35 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.She was born Oct. 12, 1953, in Danville, Ill., and married Gary Richey May 27, 1973, at Community Bible Baptist Church in Veedersburg, Ind.Reva graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1973. She and Gary had lived in Nashville, Tenn., and were still members of the Christ Church in Nashville. Reva was employed at DFAS on the site of Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis. The greatest joy and love of her life was her family, especially her husband, kids and grandkids. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Richey.Surviving family include her husband, Gary Richey, Indianapolis; father, Fred Hawn (wife, Kunchi), Austin, Texas; mother, Betty Dillon (husband, Larry), Cayuga, Ind.; four sons, Gary W. Richey II (wife, Kristy), Chattanooga, Tenn., Cory A. Richey (fianc, Ida Pepper) Lewisburg, Tenn., Brandon S. Richey (fianc, Katherine Carton), Murfreesboro, Tenn., Brett A. Richey (fianc, Jennifer Edwards), Lewisburg, Tenn.; two sisters, Rise Bowling, Covington, Ind., Rebecca Bedo, La.; two half-brothers, Larry Dillon (wife, Nadarea), Darlington, Ind., Shane M. Dillon, (wife, Sami), Cayuga, Ind.; ten grandchildren, Ashley Richey, Wyatt Richey, Jeff Richey, Abigail Richey, Haley Richey, Brandon Richey Jr., Devan Richey, Averi Richey, Lillian Richey, Adam Richey, and Courtney Joyce Richey due in April.Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, Ind., with the Rev. Steven Livengood officiating. Visitation will be 48 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
