Buck Gann

Marvin Edward "Buck" Gann, Sr., 80, of Sale Creek, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at his residence.A native of Hixson, he lived in Sale Creek the last 14 years. Buck was a member of Sale Creek Church of God. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict. Having worked for Cumberland Corporation and S & H Erectors, he retired from Southern Cellulose. Buck was a member of Daisy Masonic Lodge 706, the Scottish Rites and the Alhambra Shrine. His favorite hobby was horseback riding and he loved hunting too.Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Arbutus Watts Gann; son, Marty Gann, of Sale Creek; daughters, Cathy Ashley, of Hixson, Connie Rinehart, of Soddy-Daisy and Patti Farlett, of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Tony, Amy and Heather Ashley, of Hixson, Candyce Tinoco, Shanna, Tyler and Scott Rinehart, Drew, Sara and Ryan Farlett and Tiffany Ayers, all of Soddy-Daisy along with several great-grandchildren.Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
