Desiree Nisbet Green, 71, of Birchwood, passed away on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, after an extended illness.Born Jan. 7, 1940, in Wilmington, N.C. Desiree moved to Chattanooga in 1978. Together with her husband, Donald Nisbet, she started Capricorn Inc., Under Pressure Inc., D & D Ranch, and Desis Quarter Horses.She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Bishop; and her first husband, Donald Nisbet.Desiree was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 945 Womens Auxiliary She is survived by her husband, Troy Green, of Birchwood, Tenn.; daughter, Cynthia (Kenny) Drew, of Ooltewah; one son, George (Lori) Bowen, of Ringgold, Ga.; three stepdaughters, Robyn Stevenson, of Sarnia, Ontario, Shawn Kauffman, of Lenoir City, Tenn., Michelle Green, of Chattanooga; one stepson, Steven Green, of Chattanooga, four grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Barbara Mathis, Bonnie Farr, Betty Rivenbark, all of Wilmington, N.C.Memorial services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev.
