Gwendolya Elrod

Gwendolya Elrod, 85, of Red Bank, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, in a local hospital.She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church. She retired from Blue Cross and was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Elrod.Survivors include her son, Terry Elrod, of Soddy-Daisy; granddaughter, Andrea Faith Elrod, of Soddy-Daisy; cousin, Lois Rutameyer, of Chattanooga.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.Visit www.lanefh.com to share condolences.The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.
