Margie Jo Howard, 76, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2011.A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Vernon Howard; infant son, Howard Hixson; son-in-law, Mickey Walker; two brothers, Daniel Walden and Tommy Walden; and a sister, Mary Hanes; half sister, Francis Howard.Survivors include four sons, James (Jan) Hixson, McDonald, Tenn., Clyde (Janice) Hixson, Dalton, Ga., Danny (Mary) Hixson, Old Fort, Tenn., and Kenneth Hixson, Chattanooga; two daughters, Brenda Johnson, Boaz, Ala., and Pat Walker, Ooltewah; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
