Earl Sullivan

Earl Denton Sullivan, 73, of Hixson, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.A native of Pikeville, Tenn., Earl had been a resident of Hixson for the past 55 years and owned S&S Cleaning Services. After his retirement he found much fulfillment working part-time with his friends at Hixson Pawn Shop. He was an avid hunter and golfer.He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Sullivan Sr. and Maude Johnson. He also was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda Tolbert Sullivan; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Debbie Sullivan, of Hixson; daughter, Cindy Sullivan, of Spring City; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Andy Ashford, of Hixson; sisters Nancy Evans and Barbara Hedrick, both of Hixson, Martha Sullivan and Ruth Cox, both of Dayton Mountain; several nieces and nephews. Grandchildren, April Swafford, Laura Ledford, Jenna Catchings and Sarah Worley; great-grandchildren, Callie Swafford, Josiah Swafford and Logan Catchings.Funeral services for Earl were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the North Chapel with the Rev.
