Harry Rogers

CHICKAMAUGA Harry Eldon Rogers, 90, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 1, 2011.He had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of his life and was a member of East Lake Methodist Church. He retired from Koehring in 1982 as a machinist after more than 25 years of service and was past master of East Lake Masonic Lodge 698 F&AM. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be sadly missed by all that knew him.Survivors include his loving wife of more than 71 years, Annie Rogers; son, Carmon Eldon Rogers, both of Chickamauga; two sisters, Louise Watkins, of Dekalb County, Ala., and Dorothy Sizemore, of Chickamauga; three grandchildren, Chip, Carl and Julie Rogers; three great-grandchildren, Cannon, Mallory and Ava Rogers; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 4, 2011, in the J. Avery Bryan Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes with the Rev. Art Jones officiating.Burial will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, approximately an hour after the service ends in Chickamauga.The family will begin receiving friends after 4 p.m. today and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.Arrangements by the J. Avery Bryan Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes, Chickamauga.
