.ARCADIA, Fla. D.D. Dawn passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011, at the age of 81.He was formerly from Fort Oglethorpe where he ran D.D. Dawn Poultry & Egg Co.He was preceded in death by his parents, B.B. Dawn Sr. and Lexa O. Dawn; and five brothers and sisters.He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jean Malley Dawn; his children, Douglas D. Dawn Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla., Charles W. Dawn, of Arcadia, and Gail Robin Dawn Hinesley, of Arcadia; six grand children; 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Audrey Jackson of Evans, Ga., B.B. Dawn Jr., of Flintstone, Ga.; Bobbie Snyder, of Acworth, Ga., Teddy Dawn, of Sarasota, Fla., Reba Hudgens, of Pompano Beach, Fla., Wayne Dawn, of Rossville, Donna Dawn, of Perry, Ga.There will be a memorial service at a later date.
