Harold Girdley

DUNLAP Harold Allen Girdley Sr., 66, died March 30, 2011 at his home.He was retired from Tennessee Consolidated Coal and Girdley Mining.Harold's retirement time was devoted to his grandchildren, wife, and family, following Sequatchie County football, and talking with his friends via Citizens Band Radio. Mr. Girdley was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Ed and Estelle Smith Girdley; brothers, Johnny Girdley, Donald Girdley and Franklin D. Johnson.Survivors include his wife, Beverly Girdley; daughter, Jackie Mabey; sons, Junior Girdley and Danny Girdley, all of Dunlap; grandchildren, Christopher Mabey, Chase Girdley, Colin Mabey, and Jadeyn Girdley; great-grandson, Caleb Mabey; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. CST Saturday, April 2, 2011 in the Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bryan Daniels officiating.Burial will follow in Bryant Cemetery.Visitation 4-8 p.m. today.
