Jack Spivey

Sam Jack Spivey, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in a local hospital.He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Spivey; and daughter, Myra Spivey.He was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church and a deacon for over 40 years. He owned and operated the first Burger King Franchise in Chattanooga in 1955, formerly known as the Burger House.He is survived by his son, David Spivey, Chattanooga; brother, Carl Spivey, Kingsport, Tenn.; sisters, Irene Harvile, Kingsport, Tenn., and Nina Ford, Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev.
