Louise Eddings

ROSSVILLE Mary Louise Eddings, 90, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011.She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Rossville area where she worked for over 40 years at the Historic Read House Grill and Bistro as a manager. After her retirement from the Read House she went to work as a Hostess at the Country Place Restaurant on Shallowford Road. Her passions in life were her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Eddings Jr.; parents, Tom and Hester Humphreys; two brothers, Thomas and Jack Humphreys; and three sisters, Dorothy Matthews, Ruby Phillips and Edith Johnston.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lamarr and Brenda Eddings, of Rossville; three grandchildren, Lamarr (Angela) Eddings Jr., Lynette Mitcham and Shannon (Cannon) Witt; seven great-grandchildren, Lindsey Robertson, Lauren (Jason) Witt Hollingsworth, Ryan Witt, Megan Eddings, Taylor Mitcham, Kaleigh Witt and Matthew Mitcham; and several nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Red Cross Tornado Relief Fund in your area.Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011, at Chattanooga National CemeteryCondolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville.
