ROSSVILLE Sharon Claudette Smith Mason, 63, left this world to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in a local hospital after a battle with cancer.Sharon was strong in her faith, and maintained it throughout her battle. Even so Lord -not our will but thine be done! We now rest assured that Paradise is her new home. She will be loved and missed by all the many people whose lives were touched by her presence.Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, William and Katherine Knight; husband and father of her children, Melvin Smith.She is survived by her husband, Larry Mason, children, Gary Smith Sr., Angela Smith, and Shane Smith; grandchildren, Nikki, Kelly, Ashby, Andrew, Aubrey and Asher; brothers, William and Daniel; sisters, Sheila and Katerinda; many nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
