William ZieglerWilliam E. "Bill" Ziegler, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at his residence. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was a member of the Silverdale Baptist Church and was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Baty Ziegler and a brother, Jake Ziegler. Survivors include his daughter and her husband, Linda and Richard Kimbrough, Ooltewah; two grandchildren, Will (Erica) Kimbrough and Erin (Eric) Widner; four great-grandchildren, Allie, Emma and Tate Kimbrough and Charlie Widner; sister, Katherine Kelley, Hixson; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army or to the Chattanooga Food Bank. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. A private family interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday before the service at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
