LaFAYETTE The Rev. Leon Hall, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011.Rev. Hall retired after 27 years from the Roper Corp. in LaFayette. He was Ordained on April 24, 1963, where after he pastured seven churches through the years. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Shirley Hall; daughter, Donna (Tim) Ogle, of Tennessee; sons, Tim (Judy) Hall, of Florida, Jason (Melissa) Hall, of LaFayette; sister, Charlotte Forrester, of Rome; brothers, Raymond Hall, of Rome, Willie B. Hall, of Florida and Eugene Hall, of Trion; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral from Calvary Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Service by the Rev. David Baxley; son, Tim Hall, the Rev. Sam Barrett and the Rev. Dewy Blaylock.Pallbearers are grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers: Men's Adult Sunday School Class. Interment: LaFayette Cemetery.Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.He will lie-in-state at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to service.Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
