Alvin Hall

RINGGOLD Alvin William Hall, 70, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, in a local hospital.He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. Mr. Hall attended Covenant Life Church for the past seven years. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 28 years of service, having served three tours of duty in Viet Nam.Mr. Hall was preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Lillie Hall; brothers, Junior, Troy, Jessie and Franklin Hall; sister, Essie Pell.Survivors are his wife, Veta Hall; two sons, Paul Hall and Leland Hall; daughters, Latesha Hall, Essie Brown and Merissa Bland; brothers, Albert, Jackie, Marshall and Roy Hall; sisters, Patricia Evans and Estill Pittman; grandchildren, Cassidy Pell, Skylar Bland, Logan Brown, Hunter and Donovan Scott, Gunnar and Caleyn Eldridge; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jamie Chant officiating.Interment will be in National Cemetery.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort with the family and view the memorial tribute.The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today and 4-8 p.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
