April Goldsmith

April Deann Goldsmith, 39, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was of the Baptist faith. She was employed with Lifetouch Studios for more than 10 years and was an avid Tennessee Vols Football fan. She also enjoyed playing softball, as well as being involved with her children playing baseball and basketball. She was a devoted mother and sister, who will be sadly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Evelyn "Toppie" Goldsmith and four grandparents.Survivors include her three children, Kaman Denae Whittaker, Jeren Devin Careathers and Neyland Kayne Careathers, all of Chattanooga; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rocky and (Zana) Goldsmith, of Chattanooga, and Randy and (Angie) Goldsmith Sr., of Ringgold, Ga.; sister and fianc, Carla Goldsmith and (Dale Jobert), of Chattanooga; Jerry Bryant, of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor Carroll Allen and Keely Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens. The family will begin receiving friends after 1 p.m. today and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements by W. L.
