EB Bisplinghoff

RINGGOLD E.B. "Buck" Bisplinghoff, 86, passed away Friday, Oct. 7., 2011, Buck died at Parkridge Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.Buck was born on March 26, 1925, in Chattanooga. He graduated from Central High School of Chattanooga and attended University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.He was preceded in death by his parents; father, Carl Allen Bisplinghoff; mother, Eva McDonald; step-mother, Lola Bisplinghoff and brother, Allen Bisplinghoff.Buck worked in the shoe industry for 60 years ending his career working at Sears Shoe Store in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Buck was a sports fan and loved following the Tennessee University Women's basketball teams. He loved the sport of competition and enjoyed friendly games and contest with friends and family.Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Evelynn "Whitie", of Ringgold; son, Shelton (Doris) Mavity, of Warner Robbins, Ga.; daughters, Jane (Tommy) McGraw, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Coby (Bob) Palmer, of Portland, Tenn.; three grand children, including special granddaughter, Breanna (Joe) Yeager, of Nashville, Tenn.; and Bob Mavity and Paul Mavity, both of Macon, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, 3239 Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Burial will follow at the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, 724 Hogan Road, in Rossville, Ga.Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today one hour prior to the service on Monday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
