Ethel Douglas

Ethel Mae Douglas, 88, went to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John P. Douglas Jr. She was preceded in death by her grandson, David Alan McBryar and granddaughter, Nikki Williamson. Ethel was a long time member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend.Survivors include daughters, Patricia (Gene) McBryar, Wildwood, Ga., Linda Sue Gossett, Wildwood, Ga., Brenda (Dennis) Owens, Wildwood, Ga., Roxanne (John) Albright, Hixson, Tenn.; grandchildren, Doug (Becky) McBryar, Rossville, Ga., Scott (Sherry) Williamson, Wildwood, Ga., Mark Broyles, Lisa Broyles, Josh Owens, of Wildwood, Ga., Buffy Long, Hixson, Tenn.; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Arlena Maples and Dora Wilson.Special thanks to Amedisys Home Health of Trenton and Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care.Visitation will be 2-9 today and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Wauhatchie United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Akers officiating.
