James Hohm

James E. Hohm, 77, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, in Bushnell, Fla.Born June 16, 1934 to Theresa and George Hohm in Sycamore, Ill. He was a 1952 graduate of West HS in Rockford, Ill., and earned his BS and MS at the University of Illinois in Urbana, Ill. He served in the U.S. Navy 1954-58. Jim worked at the DDC and with Special Olympics in Dixon, Ill., then in Knoxville, Nashville and Chattanooga, before retiring to his motor home and then in Bushnell, Fla. He was a Die Hard Cub fan, Bears fan and Illini fan.He is survived by son, Dale; daughter, Heather (Lew) Sauder; grandchildren, Bailey, Holly, Sam and Emily; sisters, Ruth (Del) Breckenridge, Catherine Jacoby; and brother Bob.A memorial service will be held in Dixon, Ill., at a later date.
