John HarrisonJohn Madison Harrison, 89, of Chattanooga, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. Mr. Harrison was born in Greeneville, Tenn., then lived in Oak Ridge working at Oak Ridge National Laboratories before moving to Chattanooga in 1964 . He retired from Combustion Engineering, was a past president of the Dalewood Lions Club and a longtime member of Brainerd Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleneyria Lee Harrison; his parents, Madison John and Hattie Pearl Harrison; sister, Effie Holt and brothers, Otis Harrison and Wade Roach.He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John Lee and Dean Higgins Harrison, Jasper; grandchildren, John Lee (Gena) Harrison Jr., William Harrison, Michelle Harrison, all of Chattanooga; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Please visit www.heritagefh.com to view the memorial tribute and share words of comfort with the family.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tenn.
