Teresa Austin

Teresa Ann Payne Austin, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012. Born Oct. 24, 1930 in Eastlake to Millard and Mary Sue Payne.She was a member of Calvary Bible Church and formerly of Rossville First Baptist.She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Marvin Neil Austin.She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Tarbell) Patten; sons, Steve (Cindy) Austin, and Doug Austin, all of Chattanooga; brother, Harold Fleming Payne, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Tarbell (Amanda) Patten IV and Sarah Cate (Benny) Scaduto, all of Chattanooga; great-grandson, Tarbell Patten V.The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, 612 James Blvd., Signal Mountain, TN 37377.The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Life Care of Red Bank.Contributions may be made to Bethel Bible Village, 3001 Hamill Road, Hixson, TN 37343.Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
