Bobby Calloway

Sr.Bobby Gene Calloway Sr., 77, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, in an Atlanta hospital.He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Calloway; mother, Blanche Puckett; brothers, William, Paul, Albert, Henry, Shirley, Atticus; daughter, Lynn Marie Calloway; granddaughter, Trina Denise Calloway Moore; great-grandchild, Akira Thomas; sister, Willie Mae Scott.Survivors include sister, Sarah Tumbling, of Chattanooga; ex-wife and dear friend, Mary Helen Jones Robinson; daughters, Patricia (Dinnis) Harper, of Chattanooga, Kathy Calloway Parks, of Snellville, Ga., Pauletta (Steve) Johnson, of Chattanooga, Bobbie Jean Calloway Wilkins, Roxanne McGowan, both of Annapolis, Md., and Shanisha Calloway, of Apple Valley, Calif.; sons, Bobby (Dorothy) Calloway Jr., of Adlanto, Calif., Antonio (Vanessa) Calloway, of Augusta, Ga., Michael (Dyvone) Calloway, Emmanuel Calloway, both of Chattanooga and Matthew Calloway, of Apple Valley, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Catherine Howery, of Southfield, Mich., Johnnie Jones, Alice Elder and Mary Bell Calloway, all of Chattanooga; best friends, Harold Kincaid and Sonny Dunn; a host of other relatives and friends.The body will lie-in-state after 9 a.m. on Friday with the funeral to follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Reginald Poindexter as the eulogist.
