Willie Warren

JASPER Willie Reid Warren, 69, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Baptist Medical Center Walker.He work in the trucking industry for 47 years in Illinois, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. Was rewarded 3 million mile achievement at Roadway Express, Driving 3 million miles no accident. Was an avid fisherman, once catching a catfish weighing at 300 lbs. Mr. Warrens other hobbies were square dancing, horses, and building and creating things with his hands. His favorite pastime was the hours he volunteered working at the church and the nursing homes. Mr. Warren loved his Savior Jesus Christ and displayed it through serving in the ministries of helps that touched the lives of all who know him.He was preceded in death by parents, Neil Warren and Lizzie Pearl Eaton; sisters, Minnie Griggs, Edna Eaton, Mary Catherine Warren.Survivors include wife, Deborah Elaine Warren, Deana Marler, Kristie Daniel, Jason Warren, Andrew Warren, Kim Friedly, Ken Joseph Friedly; sisters, Elzada Garner, Pat Beavers; brothers, William Warren, Jim Warren, David Warren, John Warren; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; host of nieces, nephews and family.Funeral service at 2 p.m. today in the Kilgore-Green Chapel with Minister Billy R. Luster.Burial in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
