Evelyn Borst

Evelyn Snyder Borst, 83, of East Ridge, passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012.Mrs. Borst was born in Winston County, Ala., but was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area where she was a former member of Central Baptist Church of Woodmore.She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglass A. Borst; parents, John and Elmo Daniel; and sisters, Faye Taylor and Billie Staton.Surviving are her children, Lynn Snyder, Vicki (Eddie) Phillips, Randy (Lori) Snyder, Linda (Keith) Lee and Michiko (Mike) Nowicki; sister, Frances Page; several grandchildren including Brelyn Phillips, Eddie Phillips III and Gabe Snyder of Chattanooga; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 19, 2012 at the funeral home.Graveside Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Chaplain Don Sapp officiating.Those wishing to send memorial donations may send them to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
