Richard Turner

Richard Zane Turner, 80, of Hixson and formerly of Ringgold, Ga., passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012.Mr. Turner was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a graduate of Chattanooga High School and a longtime member of Boynton United Methodist Church where he belonged to the Wesley Sunday School Class. He was also a retired electro mechanical engineer, member of Boynton Lions Club and a US Army Korean War Veteran.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce Lamberth.Surviving are his daughter, Carol (John) Dodd, of Hixson; granddaughter, Heidi (Tony) Pocase; sister, Dortha Elliot; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the funeral home with Rev. Brett De Hart officiating.
