RINGGOLD Barbara Smith Edenfield, 79, formerly of Ringgold, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at the Henry Etta & Bruce Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, N.C.She was born on June 3, 1933 in Tullahoma, Tenn., to Clarence R. Smith and Eunice Hazel Johnson Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Bible Missionary Church in Chattanooga, and attended Faith Community Chapel in Thomasville.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Linton H. Edenfield on April 19, 2009; son, Louis Harold Edenfield; brothers, Clarence R. Smith, Jr. and Charles Smith; and grandson, Jonathan Shrum.Surviving are two daughters, Sherry L. Shrum and husband David of Lexington, and Susan B. Sparks and husband Mark, of Easley, S.C.; brothers, Raymond L. Smith, of Chattanooga and Rev. James Smith, of Tullahoma, Tenn.; grandson, Jason L. Shrum and wife Rachel, of Lexington; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Madison Shrum.A funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Oglethorpe, with Rev.
