Elizabeth Smith

Susan Elizabeth Smith, 99, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012.She attended Soddy Community Chapel for many years and Daisy Church of God. She attended nursing school in Nashville and visited the Holy Land two times. She was known for her delicious Mexican cornbread and gold fried pies to raise money for Missionaries. She was a member of Soddy-Daisy Senior Center for over 20 years and an avid walker for years.She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Sarah Smith; sisters, Edith Clift, Irene Yother; brothers, Walter, Willard, Arthur, W.H. and LeRoy Smith.Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Mary Evelyn Johnson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Bishop Ricky Smith officiating.Burial will follow in Varner Cemetery.Family will receive friends after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers at Soddy-Daisy Health Care for their kind and loving care.Condolences and memories may be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
